Venue

Unless otherwise agreed, the parties are responsible for arranging a suitable venue for the mediation. The venue should provide separate private rooms for each party and their legal advisers or supporters, as well as a neutral meeting room of sufficient size to accommodate the parties for joint sessions. Commonly, mediations are held at the offices of one of the solicitors or barristers involved, though any appropriate and mutually acceptable location may be used.

Workplace mediation fees

Harbour Mediation offers a free initial consultation to help employers, HR professionals, and individual employees assess whether workplace mediation is an appropriate and effective way forward. This initial discussion allows us to understand the context of the issues, consider suitability for mediation and agree next steps. All consultations are confidential.

Workplace mediation – £495 (fixed fee)

This fixed fee includes:

  • All preliminary meetings with each participant prior to the mediation;

  • Preparation and initial discussions to ensure the mediation is focused and productive; and

  • The joint mediation session.

Preliminary meetings can be conducted in person or online, offering flexibility for organisations and participants. Joint meetings are generally held in person.

More complex workplace disputes

For more complex workplace situations, multi-party mediations, or matters involving wider organisational considerations, we are happy to discuss bespoke fee arrangements. Please contact us for a confidential discussion.

We will provide full terms and a copy of our Agreement to Mediate in advance of the mediation. All fees are payable prior to the mediation.

Workplace mediation can be delivered on-site, at a neutral venue, or online, depending on organisational needs.
